HARMONY HELPERS

All parents with a child or children attending HCS are members of Harmony Helpers.  During the academic year, the Harmony Helpers hold three meetings in the HCS library consisting of devotions, a business meeting and fellowship.  We greatly encourage all parents to attend these meetings in order to exercise the right to vote and make decisions affecting the school.  The goal of Harmony Helpers is to promote Christian education and fellowship.  Each family participates by fulfilling the requirements of their particular committee, serving Hot Lunch once each school year and helping out at the Fall Supper.

Requirements:

Committee Participation: Each family will be placed on a committee and will be expected to work with the others on the committee to complete the function of that committee.

Serving Hot Lunch: Each family will be placed on a committee with 2 other families and will be expected to serve Hot Lunch to the students and staff on a designated day - usually from 10:30 am-1:00 pm.  Hot Lunch is served the first and third Wednesday of each month.  If you are unable to serve when it is your turn, you must either trade with another parent or hire someone to take your place.  A list of those who are willing to serve as substitutes will be sent home to all families.

Fall Supper: The Fall Supper is held in November and all parents are given a small job on that night.  For example: washing trays for an hour and a half.  There are jobs that can be done ahead of time, such as peeling and slicing apples.  If you are unable to attend, you are expected to find your own substitute.

It is VERY IMPORTANT that if you cannot serve on the committee that you were assigned to, YOU must find your own replacement!  This is standard for all committees throughout the year.
